We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Operations Manager PM Shift to join us in our Warrington Hub. We're always on the lookout for top talent to join our growing business. Because of the 24/7 nature of our operation, this is not a Monday-Friday, 9-5pm position, we are recruiting on our PM shift which typically runs 14:00 - 22:00 however the role does require flexibility to fit in line with volumes of the business. To support our operation and manage your fleet fully, there will be occasions when you will be on site across the shift and potentially weekends as needed. But more importantly you must be able to make operational and strategic decisions at pace and have the self-belief to commit to a plan of action. Support the Hub's Transport General Manager with all operational costs and performance reports and be able to demonstrate strong cost leadership. Support the Transport GM to develop a peak plan in line with forecasted volumes and or changes in automation to meet financial and resourcing needs. Promote and drive consistency to ensure the delivery of excellent operational standards. Carry out regular individual 121's, performance reviews and team meetings. H&S and quality audits including risk assessments and safe systems of work in all Transport areas. Prepare detailed shift reports, root causing failed KPI's supported evidence and an action plan to improve. Develop a peak plan for your area of responsibility in line with forecasted volumes and or changes in automation to meet financial and resourcing needs. Promote and drive consistency to ensure the delivery of excellent operational standards. What skills/qualifications are required? Named CPC holder on Operators licence with CPC National qualification PC Literate Full current driving licence Extensive knowledge and experience of operational processes and practices, particularly Transport operations Proven ability to build business knowledge and translate into working practices and procedures Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment What can we offer you?
