Job Overview:
In Arm's Central Technology group, we are building trail-blazing future technology which will keep Arm-based products redefining the state-of-the-art. We are looking for a hardworking Staff ISP Architect to join us as part of the CT-Systems Imaging Team. This team is responsible for the image signal processor including algorithm design, technology research, as well as next-gen Arm Multimedia Camera Subsystem architecture for large screen compute, Automotive, and IoT market segments.
Are you passionate about shaping the future of multimedia and vision compute at Arm? Do you want to see the architectures you have invented being used by millions of people? We may be looking just for you!
Responsibilities:
* You will be part of a multimedia oriented, system architecture team, giving you the opportunity to develop and make a relevant contribution into Arm Multimedia Subsystems.
* The role will give you also outstanding opportunity to interact with world class specialists and architects, both inside and outside Arm to define camera system requirement based on system requirements and constraints.
* The role offers analyzing sophisticated image signal processors, computer vision, and multimedia use cases, data paths to the compute subsystem, and translating their compute needs into memory bandwidth, area, and power requirements into heterogeneous system architectures.
* Working in collaboration with cross-functional hardware, software, and algorithm teams to develop and propose advanced imaging architecture solutions.
* This role will give you the opportunity to provide clear executive-level presentations based on thorough analysis and data to support your decisions.
* You will contribute to Arm Multimedia Camera Subsystem architecture definition work by prototyping, testing, and writing ISP and Camera subsystem architecture specifications.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Expertise in image processing and camera subsystem architectures (hardware, software, and algorithms), with a focus on understanding real use case dataflows in modern heterogeneous compute platforms, including complex interconnect and memory systems, is required.
* Experience in analysis of use case decomposition of media and vision use cases, with inclusion of AI compute to optimize data paths as well as control software, drivers and APIs.
* In depth understanding of various system design trade-offs: hardware vs. software partitioning, power, performance, memory bandwidth, latency, quality-of-service, real-time vs. non-real-time traffic.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams under ambitious schedules, with a focus on delivery of results.
* Experience of ASIC RTL design and verification.
* Proficient in Python, C++, and System Verilog.
'Nice to Have' Skills and Experience:
* Expertise in the field of AI, and system IP such as AMBA protocols, MMU concepts, and MIPI protocols and integration.
* Knowledge of video compression algorithms and hardware video accelerators.
* Familiar with functional safety, quality and cybersecurity standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 21434, IEC 61508 etc.
* Expertise with safety requirements management, DFMEA (HW & SW), FTA, DFA, FMEDA.
* Expertise with other programming languages such as Verilog, VHDL, C, and Matlab.
In Return:
Arm has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
At Arm, we are guided by our core beliefs that reflect our rare culture and guide our decisions, defining how we work together to resist ordinary and craft extraordinary.
On top of the already compelling Life at Arm, we offer strong team culture, learning opportunities, regular career conversations, emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion and a continuous improvement mentality.
