Job Title: Senior Project Manager
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be the single point accountability and leadership for the delivery of a Project or Programme of work. This will be achieved by managing and assuring the performance of contractors to deliver project outcomes to time, cost, and quality. You will build strong relationships with other areas of the business and assist in the repair, maintenance, and development of our network assets, which are key to delivering several ODI’s such as leakage reduction, the reduction of supply interruptions to our customers, and our commitment to meet a statutory minimum in water pressure.
Stakeholder engagement both internal and external is key to success within this role. You will drive the development and continuous improvement of the project team and supply chain, relentlessly striving to deliver enhanced health, safety & environment outcomes, customer satisfaction, and superior commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Budget & Risk Management: Deliver sustainable financial out-performance against approved budgets and report on performance monthly. Review performance and adjust through quarterly forecasting.
2. Performance & Quality Management: Manage service providers to ensure performance levels and value for money. Ensure quality systems and processes meet asset standards and follow technical waiver processes where appropriate.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong external stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance Thames Water’s reputation.
4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Encourage and implement innovations from the supply chain, engaging with Thames Water Innovation projects.
5. Sustainable Delivery: Ensure best practices in the safe and sustainable delivery of capital projects, including operation and maintenance.
6. People & Culture: Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on delivering specified outputs efficiently, effectively, and commercially.
7. Team Culture: Maintain a culture of accountability, achievement, and development among team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Graduate or equivalent, relevant technical degree, apprenticeship, or professional membership preferred.
* Project management qualification or experience in water network operations is beneficial or a desire to pursue one.
* Proven ability to deliver projects meeting both commercial and technical objectives.
* Ability to analyze data and make decisions with partial information.
* Strong project planning, estimating, and financial forecasting skills.
* Proven track record in project management.

* Up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience and skills.
* Car Allowance of £4,500 per annum.
