The Marketing and Sales team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Network Sales Professional.
The role involves protecting and delivering volume and margin growth for our Cylinder Distribution Centre (CDC) sites through converting sales opportunities, managing margins, retaining customers, and executing local commercial plans. The NSP, CDC commercial lead will be responsible for the performance and profitability of CDC sites within their area, working closely with operational leads and the broader network.
Key responsibilities include:
* Driving growth and retention by setting and achieving objectives for the CDCs.
* Utilizing systems, technology, and automation to enhance sales efficiency and performance.
* Developing and reviewing business plans to ensure robust customer retention and growth.
* Managing and improving gross margin performance through targeted initiatives.
* Ensuring CDC commercial and profitability performance aligns with targets.
* Achieving availability targets, including cylinder stock utilization and delivery charges, working with the asset team.
* Optimizing the customer base through renegotiations and owner changes.
* Securing key CDC customer contracts and renewals.
* Implementing pricing strategies to optimize revenue and margins.
* Leading data-driven sales campaigns to recover lost business.
* Managing the sales pipeline through acquisition opportunities.
* Maintaining safety standards and promoting a safety culture across the network.
Ideal candidates should have:
* At least 3 years of experience in the LPG cylinder business and network.
* Proven negotiation and sales skills in B2B and B2C contexts.
* Experience in developing and executing strategic business plans.
* Strong numerical skills and ability to analyze large data sets.
* Excellent negotiation, customer management, and communication skills.
