Your Responsibilities:
* Operational Leadership: Develop and implement strategic communications plans, fostering innovation and designing collaborative ways of working to drive integrated communications.
* Crisis Management: Lead operational communications during crises, providing strategic advice to ensure quick recovery and business continuity.
* Public Affairs: Manage our relationships with key political and policy influencers, coordinating engagement at local, regional, and national levels.
* Project Leadership: Lead strategic communications projects and advise senior University leaders, including Executive Deans of Faculty.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure our communications efforts support the University Strategy, driving leadership, change, and innovation.
What We’re Looking For:
* Relevant post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in leading, developing, and motivating large communications teams and managing corporate budgets and resources.
* Senior-level experience in developing and implementing communications strategies, with credibility at Board level in large, complex organisations.
* Success in leading multiple teams across internal communications, staff engagement, external communications, public affairs, crisis management, digital/social media, and brand development.
* Strong political, environmental, and cultural awareness with the ability to influence politicians and policymakers.
