Job summary
Greensand Surgery recognises the benefit of good teamwork and are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join their busy team for 29 hours per week to work as follows:
1. Monday - 1pm
2. Tuesday - 1pm & 2pm - 6pm
3. Wednesday - 1pm & 2pm - 6pm
4. Friday - 1 & 2pm - 6pm
There's more to our receptionist roles than answering the phone and making appointments. In this essential front-line role at the practice, you would be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team.
Interviews will take on place Wednesday 24th July with Dawn Moore and Dr Shortland.
Main duties of the job
5. Being part of an office rota.
6. Booking appointments for patients with the appropriate medical professional
7. Dealing with general enquiries from patients and visitors
8. Supporting colleagues to maintain an efficient and friendly atmosphere
9. Administering the procedure for repeat prescriptions.
10. Signpost patients to the correct service Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
11. Read code data on System one.
12. Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare records
13. Process and distribute incoming emails
14. Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested.

22. Experience with SystmOne would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.
23. Experience within primary care would be an advantage.
24. Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional/alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
