You will have an HNC in Health and Social Care or equivalent or SCQF level 8 e.g. Postural Stability Instructor or equivalent. Experience working in the NHS as a therapy support worker would be essential. It would be essential to have experience working with older people as they are the main group of service users referred. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team you will be expected to carry out ongoing treatment programmes for a mixed caseload of mainly older people. You will have excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as well as within the team. There may be occasions where you will be required to work in one of the other community hospital sites. Public Holiday working is in operation. Our service offers regular supervision, PDP and supports training opportunities. The ability to travel throughout the area is essential for this community post. Interviews will be held face to face. For informal enquiries, please contact Gayle White, Physiotherapy Team Lead - gayle.whitenhs.scot. A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment. NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
