All deliveries and collections of clinical bins should where ever possible be made in accordance with the schedule to ensure continuity of service. The clinical waste collection vehicle should be kept clean at all times to prevent cross contamination. All spillages should be cleaned up using the supplied spillage kits as soon as spillages occur. Any loose clinical waste bags (orange/yellow) must only be collected if they are tagged with an appropriate tag. All untagged bags or damaged bags should be left on the ward, department or the patients home and reported. Drive any other Trust vehicle as requested by the Transport Department.
