Reliable transportation is required to commute to Wash Farm - TQ11 0JU, as it is not accessible by public transport routes. Contract: 40 hours a week Sunday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 OR Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 16:30. Salary: c £40,000 per annum d.o.e What you’ll be doing… You will be joining a small team of technical experts reporting into the Engineering Manager as part of a larger Facilities Team. Day to day, you will be providing engineering support to our operations teams with proactive and reactive works. You will also play an essential role when we plan and implement new installations. Being a key stakeholder in the practical application of planned preventative maintenance you will contribute to updating and refining schedules and works. You will also be involved in our new exciting project of an in-house asset hierarchy, which looks to index all our equipment, spares and components, and their integration, enabling improvements and overall equipment effectiveness in production. Building and understanding our facility’s asset hierarchy is critical to efficiently tracking, scheduling, and identifying the root causes of failure in our equipment. The aim will be to future proof our assets and our production systems whilst reviewing how we automate and mechanise further looking forward. We are searching for a process driven individual that identifies the benefits of standardising practises. Effective communication skills will be essential; You will be working actively with our machine operators to help plan maintenance and proactivity problem solve issues. You will then need to liaise with the areas across production to keep them up to date with progress, so communication is key. Skills & experience Strong mechanical skills, gained in a practical working environment. Electrical installations both 1phase and 3phase 17/18th edition, inspection, and testing. - Desirable A hands-on approach gained through a recognised engineering apprenticeship /qualification would be highly sort after. Experience in control systems (PLCs) electrical and mechanical installations, within the food industry would be advantageous.
