Overview of Role
* To coordinate all planning activity relating to manufacturing and supplying finished goods at The Welsh Pantry Factory.
* To be customer facing, building relationships in a collaborative approach.
* To develop information to support manufacturing system i.e., MRP.
Responsibilities
* Strive for 100% service level across the customer base.
* Maximise the stock levels to ensure service levels but with minimum levels of waste.
* Establish, maintain and encourage a positive relationship with customer supply chain.
* Maintain a flexible working pattern to fit within the demands of the business.
* Establish planning KPI’s based around service level to be communicated within the business.
* Participate and drive implementation of manufacturing system.
* Ensure all scheduling activity optimises line performance and business profitability.
* Be proactive and drive system improvements wherever possible.
* Communicate to business Welsh Pantry stocks and service level performance.
Main Duties
* Obtain and utilise latest customer forecasts.
* Participate in customer contact conference calls.
* Monitor all WIP and on-site finished goods stocks.
* Monitor finished goods stocks in 3rd party consolidators.
* Produce demand plans to hit service levels.
* Receive, interpret customer orders to produce demand plan.
* Schedule bakery lines to hit maximum service levels.
* Regularly review manufacturing progress and review accordingly.
* Effectively communicate all planning activities to the business.
* Advise customer supply chain of any supply issues.
* Produce & advise on finished goods stocks to produce optimum pack formats through packing departments.
* Monitor and advise of weekly/daily labour requirements for all departments.
* Monitor bakery and the packing throughput and report attainment to plan percentages and then populate KPI boards prior to operational review meetings.
Key Skills
* Experience of production planning in a High-Risk Food Manufacturing business for at least 3-5 years.
* Ideally some bakery experience.
* Experience of working in a fast-paced and evolving business.
* Experience of working with short shelf-life products.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Good standard of written and oral communication in English.

Additional Information
Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility required outside of normal working hours.
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
Reporting To: Site Director.
Food manufacturing experience is desirable.
Please note this is not a Hybrid role. There is an expectation to be on site 5 days per week.
