An exciting opportunity to join our Senior Team as Band 6 Clinical Facilitator at Rugby St Cross Theatres.
We are looking for an experienced Theatre Practitioner with a strong interest in supporting and developing our staff and students. Your role will be to work alongside and support the Band 7 Lead Clinical Facilitator to ensure the Training and Development needs of our Staff are met.
The initial focus will be implementing Training and Development plans and supporting a number of new starters to the Department.
You will be required to oversee Mandatory Training records and ensure compliance is maintained. Maintaining Clinical skills and being seen as a visible Clinical Role model is an important aspect of the role.
To contribute to the Continual Development of a Quality Service ensuring best practice is followed resulting in Optimum Patient care.

Main duties of the job
* Work with Theatre Training and Development team to ensure standards of training delivered is consistent and in line with best evidence based practice.
* Carry out Inductions and Implement training plans.
* Ensure regular review and progress checks for new starters.
* Support leads for Student nurse, Student Odps where required.
* Monitor Mandatory Training and Compliance and facilitate/support staff to complete.
* Contribute to putting together yearly training plans.
* Support staff with advice on development and career progression.
* Help put together training sessions and training days.
* Deliver training sessions in clinical practice and in sessions away from clinical area.

Job responsibilities
* In conjunction with clinical leads and other members of the multi-disciplinary team as appropriate, ensure training plans are regularly updated, and changes implemented. Ensure that staff training records and documentation is maintained in accordance with local and national guidelines.
* Implement and ensure best practice is embedded within training and care delivery. Actively encourage the use of clinical information to improve the quality of patient care.
* Ensure confidentiality is maintained in all aspects and levels of communication especially pertaining to patients, carers, and staff.
* Facilitate communication, which results in clear responsibilities being identified within the multi-professional team.
* Ensure the delivery of care is in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices of University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust and ensure all staff are up to date with such procedures.
* Assessment, planning, and delivery of equipment competency based training.
* Manage own workload, prioritise following policies and competing service demands. Propose changes to own working practices and the quality system to promote efficiency.
* Facilitate training sessions periodically for staff in their area of speciality knowledge.
* Accountable for own actions in accordance with Code of Professional Conduct.
