To provide support to the Respiratory Physiology Department in a variety of functions across the trust.
Main duties of the job
1. Perform a range of Clinical Respiratory investigations.
2. Undertake interpretation of results and provision of factual reports.
3. Provide general administrative support when required.
4. Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to shape a collective leadership culture within the trust, demonstrating a consistent leadership style that engages, enables, and empowers others.
5. Competently perform and interpret spirometry (reversibility of airways obstruction with bronchodilators), gas transfer, static lung volumes, exhaled and nasal nitric oxide.
6. Liaise with and report to medical staff.
7. Supervise, maintain, calibrate, and care for all equipment; organize repairs and servicing to ensure quality of service and high safety levels.
8. Keep abreast of developments in pulmonary physiology & sleep medicine.
9. Maintain a working knowledge of emergency procedures regarding resuscitation and fire.
10. Accept responsibility for professional development and competence.
11. Be involved in research or audit projects and clinical trials.
