Facilities Technician
* £23,300 - £27,650 per annum

* Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract – shift pattern applicable working one week early (6:00 – 14:00) one week late (12:00pm – 20:00)
We are looking for a Facilities Technician to join our Facilities team, where you will play a key role in maintaining, fixing and improving our building equipment across the Cambridge campus.

About the role
As a Facilities Technician, you will be at the heart of the action, working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with various teams. This role offers the opportunity to progress and grow in your career, learning new skills and expanding on current ones. You will have access to a wide variety of training programs, including PAT testing, IOSH Managing Safely, and First Aid.
You will:
* Perform and record planned preventative maintenance; respond to and close helpdesk tickets promptly.
* Identify and address defects during maintenance; manage helpdesk calls and building works to minimise downtime.
* Supervise external contractors, ensuring compliance with policies and requirements.
* Assist with office furniture moves and operational projects; keep storage areas organised.
* Provide high-level customer service and manage room services, including setup, checks, restocking, and fault investigation.
About you
You will have a ‘can do' attitude and be committed to provide 100% customer satisfaction. You will have confidence in your approach to tasks and have high attention to detail.
You will have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and be adaptable and flexible.
Please note that this role will require you to work 1 in 5 weekends where you will receive an additional 10% weekend premium.
