Nelson Permanent Placements are currently recruiting for an Electrical Working Supervisor for a leading Electrical company specialising in Industrial environments.
The client is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor who can bring their expertise of electrical compliance and leadership skills to a hands-on, thriving manufacturing environment.
The Electrical Working Supervisor will be overseeing and supervising electrical projects and maintenance works. The right candidate is expected to have a strong electrical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to solve complex electrical issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead, motivate, and manage a team of electricians to ensure deadlines are met and quality is achieved.
* Provide guidance and direction to team members for successful project execution.
* Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project updates, safety measures, and address concerns.
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
* Inspect electrical components to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Test electrical systems and circuits to ensure proper functioning.
* Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide effective solutions.
* Follow safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations.
* Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.
* Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on job sites.
* Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to educate team members about best practices and potential hazards.
* Allocate tasks and responsibilities among team members based on their expertise and workload.
* Arrange labour and materials to complete the project on time and within budget.
* Quoting small works as required and supporting contract manager on larger quotes.
* Working closely with contract manager to ensure RAM’s are created for each job.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Level 3 C&G Qualified.
* 2391 Test & Inspection qualified.
* Proven experience as an electrician or electrical supervisor.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components.
* Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
* Driving licence essential.
* Ability to update in-house computer systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Ability to work in various physical situations and be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
* Comfortable working in various environments, including exposure to heights and confined spaces.
