POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for sales of Harbour Technologies’ core services to existing and new clients across North America and potentially, around the world. The incumbent will be expected to grow sales, gross margins and enhance our value proposition through:
1. Key Account Management, further penetrating the Canadian and American nuclear industries and winning an ever-increasing share of Major Component Refurbishment, Life Extension and New Construction Projects domestically;
2. Winning new direct business from Tier 1 OEMs and EPCs;
3. Developing business and gaining approvals in new Nuclear markets (MMRs, SMRs);
4. Supporting international CANDU refurbishment opportunities as needed;
5. Growing existing sales and researching new business opportunities in the automotive, aerospace, defence, heavy construction and other industries by engaging with end user decision makers, working with distribution channels, collaborating with internal/external teams to develop strategic plans and sales strategies to grow our business.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sales Growth and Key Account Management
2. Targeting of End-User, EPC, Contractor, and OEMs to generate demand, uncover problems or unmet needs and create specifications for branded products & services through:
1. Customer visits and meetings
2. Technical presentations to specifying engineers
3. Develop and manage a direct end user and channel distribution strategy to capture end-user demand of products including:
4. Joint visits
5. Manage assigned accounts in region or market
6. Eventually, manage a network of Sales Agents and inside sales representatives to support distribution and generate end-user demand
7. Maintain effective contact and relationships with stakeholders primarily through visits and supported with telephone and email.
8. Develop and execute sales plan and roadmap.
9. Maintain high profile in the target market segments through participation in committees, attending industry events and networking
10. Maintain key customer profiles and update team through monthly report and visit/status reports
11. Assist with preparation of customer quotes utilizing market factors and price guide
12. Monthly reporting / Revenue forecast
3. Strategic / Planning:
4. Contribute to the Strategic & Business Planning Cycle
5. Research/recommend potential acquisitions
6. Develop and maintain SWOT analysis
7. Identify action plans aligned with our strategies and vision.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
1. Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering or 5-plus years of sales experience in at least one of our target industries is required.
2. Strong established relationships with technical personnel/decision makers in at least one of our target industries is an asset.
3. Analytical ability to evaluate a diverse range of internal and external information and apply a variety of problem solving techniques and business logic is essential.
4. Strong sales, communication and facilitation skills required to build relationships and close deals.
5. Ability to work independently in constructing and executing project plans.
6. Ability to get along with people and motivate team members to ensure acceptance of proposals and foster an environment conducive to change and continuous improvement.
7. Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
8. Drive and willingness to do “whatever it takes” to win.
9. Knowledge & competence with Microsoft office suite.
