Responsibilities To support and assist teachers in offering mentoring support, training, and guidance to other members of the team in particular Learning Teaching Assistants (LSAs) To lead and model positive behaviour management with initiative-taking and purposeful approaches. To contribute to the preparation and planning of lessons including developing resources and opportunities for young peoples to learn in school and out-of-school contexts in accordance with lesson plans and in response to young people need To prepare and deliver lessons, under the direction of the teacher, including covering for teacher absence. To share the school’s responsibility to support and promote the learning, personal development, safeguarding, and well-being of all young people. To ensure recording and reporting across the school is completed to a high standard. To provide cover for Teachers when absent or as requested by the SLT or Line Manager. Administer and assess routine tests and invigilating exams/tests. Provide general clerical/administrative support e.g., administering course work, producing resources for agreed activities etc. Use specialist curriculum/learning skills/training/experience. About Us Oakfield House School is a specialist Primary School for autistic pupils and those associated with Autism/Learning or Complex Communication and Behaviour needs. The school has a strong and committed leadership team. Our school is a country house built in the 1880's, set in eight acres of beautiful parkland. We cater for 45 boys and girls aged between 4 – 12 years old. The Site is situated in Salwick near Preston and are within commutable distance from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland and surrounding areas.
