About the Role
Our Coupar site has an excellent track record of promoting internally as well as offering personal development through training courses, making this an excellent opportunity to progress your career. Our UK Poultry division produces a third of all poultry eaten in the UK and represents more than half of 2 Sisters' business by sales. The division employs over 8,500 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to UK consumers via major retailers.
As a Reliability Engineer, you will work closely with the Engineering Planner and support the site Chief Engineer. Your primary focus will be to manage assets throughout the entire process with an eye on safety, performance, risk consequence management, and total cost of ownership.
You will work on new designs, process improvements, and ensure we have all necessary parts for repairs. This role requires working every other Saturday to carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) work when there is no production on site.
Key Responsibilities
1. Address and resolve machinery failures, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence
2. Analyse machinery data, identify trends, and prioritise key areas for improvement
3. Plan and prepare PPM works during the week for execution on weekends
4. Keep the maintenance system (Shire) up to date with accurate and timely information
5. Design new systems
About You
You will be a fully qualified/time served Mechanical or Electrical Engineer. You will ideally have experience within the food industry.
Key Skills/Qualifications
1. HND / HNC Mechanical / Electrical Engineering qualification
2. People management experience in an engineering function
3. Previous experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
4. Preventative/Planned Maintenance Optimisation
5. Proven leadership and people management experience with a pro-active approach to change management
6. Excellent communication skills
