Frasers Group seeks a Digital Test Lead to join our growing Engineering team. As a Test Lead at Frasers Group, you will be part of an enthusiastic, motivated, and delivery-focused Agile Test Team. Our platform runs over 50 websites and 10 mobile applications - including some of the biggest names in Retail. You will ideally have experience working with large-scale websites and Mobile Applications.
In this role you'll be:
1. Leading a team of Test Engineers, embedding quality practices early in the SDLC, and ensuring our digital products provide the best experience to our customers.
2. Implementing a shift-left testing approach by embedding testing early in the SDLC, collaborating closely with developers and product teams to prevent defects rather than detect them, and ensuring quality is built in from the start.
3. Exploring, discovering and modelling complex systems with various heuristics and techniques in an efficient way.
4. Contributing throughout the SDLC by actively exploring and analysing - from the design, story mapping/refinement to release and monitoring.
5. Championing test practice within the development teams to increase the team's performance.
6. Developing and adapting the test strategy based on the project risks/context.
This role is available on a Hybrid basis, with 2 days at home and 3 days in the office at our Shirebrook HQ.

Our Recruitment Team will be reviewing applications and all candidates will receive a response, whether you are successful or unsuccessful. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to confirm a few key details before being booked in for a first stage interview with the Recruiter- this will be behaviourally focussed and centred around how you align with our Culture and Values. If successful we anticipate two further interview stages with the Hiring Manager/wider team which will be more technically focussed and could include a presentation/task so we can see your skills in action.
What we are looking for:
1. 8+ years experience, ideally within web testing and leading large-scale product teams.
2. Passion for innovation and improving efficiencies.
3. Expertise in shift-left testing principles, including test-driven development (TDD), behaviour-driven development (BDD), and exploratory testing techniques.
4. Full SDLC, appreciation of QA, CI/CD, and the benefits of automation.
5. Test automation expertise with tools like WebdriverIO, Cypress, Playwright, Jest/Supertest, and hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.
6. Experience in Agile and DevOps environments focusing on embedding quality and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
7. Non-functional testing (e.g., Security, Performance, Resilience or Accessibility).
8. Experience in Ecommerce industry (Desirable).
9. Agile Testing certification (e.g., ISTQB Agile testing) or attending Rapid Software Testing courses (Desirable).
10. AWS, Azure or GCP (Desirable).
