You will be part of a dedicated and friendly team, supporting with the delivery of an effective and efficient service across Westmorland and Furness. Our Service Care Services provides support for adults with wide ranging needs, such as supporting after a significant health change, which is a short term intervention; enabling them to live as independently as possible, ensuring their safety and well-being, and working with them to achieve person centred outcomes which will enable them to remain in their own homes within their local communities. As well as adults who require long term support in their own homes. The Role The Support Team is a key part of the operational delivery of Care Services and it is the central point of access for the service. The role of a Coordinator is to provide excellent customer service to a wide range of stakeholders including all of our customers; support staff, service users and their families. You will be required to ensure the organisation of the service and the provision of co-ordinated and flexible support interventions by rostering support workers to ensure delivery of the support required. You will be responsible for operating the duty desk and dealing with all the calls coming into the Care Services Support Team. The role requires reallocating day to day workloads to meet identified short term needs and emergencies, ensuring priority needs are covered as quickly and efficiently as possible and dealing with referrals into the service. You will also be creating rosters and administering payroll. To support new members of staff, you will be allocated a buddy to support you in the role. The shifts are on a rolling pattern which gives me great options to plan ahead and have a great work life balance.” Who we are looking for… The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and ICT skills and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team, maintaining confidentiality at all times. 5 GCSE's at C grade or above, including English and Maths, or an equivalent level qualification, i.e. NVQ Level 2 is essential. Use of IT applications and experience working in an administrative role is essential, as well as knowledge of Health and Social Care. This job involves working shifts which cover 7am until 11pm over 7 days, 365 day a year.
