JOB DESCRIPTION In this pivotal position as Assistant / Deputy Treasurer at PwC, you will play a critical role in managing the key Treasury risks including funding/liquidity risk, foreign exchange risk, interest rate risk, bank relationships. You will also be able to provide sound advice to operating units where requested, particularly in respect of foreign exchange risk. As a key member of the Finance function and the Business Solutions Line of Service (LoS), you will act as a deputy for the Global and UK Treasurer and work with senior internal and external stakeholders to manage various ad hoc projects. Reporting to the Global and UK Treasurer, this is an exciting opportunity to join a large treasury department of 10 treasury professionals, who deliver Treasury Operations, Reporting and Analytics, and Compliance. The PwC Treasury within the firm's Finance function, part of the Business Solutions Line of Service (LoS) is based in London and operates as a service centre. The team is responsible for managing liquidity and funding, foreign currency, interest rate and credit risk, the banking infrastructure, the issuance of bank guarantees, treasury compliance and bank relationships. The team maintains close contact with finance teams throughout the world.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deputise for Group Treasurer
2. Represent the Company and Group Treasury when meeting internal and external parties at senior levels e.g. Bank Relationships
3. Overall management of all group investments, day-to-day cash management, foreign exchange risk, cash flow forecasting and all electronic banking systems
4. Arrangement and ongoing negotiation of all group borrowing, bank relationship management, bond raising and issuance
5. Manage projects from start to finish, including making sure that non-Treasury staff carry out their allotted tasks correctly and on time
6. Keep up to date with relevant developments in systems, tax, regulations, accounting etc.
7. Integration and development of the current group treasury policy with the group’s strategic requirements and direction
8. Day to day management of the Treasury function and team
The skills and experience we’re looking for
9. Corporate treasury professional with extensive experience in international corporate environment, at a senior level
10. Have sound commercial judgement, strong intellect and the confidence to take the lead in negotiations with both internal and external counterparties
11. Demonstrate excellent persuasive and negotiation skills, as they will be required to represent the group on treasury matters of a complex nature
12. Articulate proposals clearly, balance the requirement for technical expertise, and have the ability to recognise the bigger commercial picture
13. Proven technical skills, and ability to analyse problems, identify solutions and then implement them
14. IT and Treasury Management System literate
15. Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple issues simultaneously
16. AMCT/MCT qualifications
