About the role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they have access to a personalised and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide one-on-one and small group support to SEN students. Work with teachers to create and follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Help create a classroom where every student feels included and supported. Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills. Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents. Assist with classroom management and behaviour support. Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with SEN students or relevant training in special education is preferred. A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field. Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students. Understanding of various SEN conditions.
