The successful Design Manager will be responsible for the people, procedures, and processes within the Design Department. Managing, motivating, and engaging the team to meet business targets and setting the example by creating a positive and respectful environment within the team based on the Company Behaviours.
The role will involve:
1. Responsibility for the Design Team including daily task allocation and prioritization.
2. Responsibility for standard product and Make To Order (MTO) specials, including technical requirements and compliance to standards (including but not limited to PED & PESR & various design codes).
3. Liaising with Technical Manager regarding new product development prototypes and launch.
4. Ensuring Design activities are carried out within expected time-bound parameters and levels of accuracy.
5. Responsibility for Design for Manufacture.
6. Responsibility for department work instructions and procedures - creating, maintaining, and training.
To be successful in this role of Design Manager, we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
1. Demonstrable experience in Design disciplines.
2. A background in Manufacturing Engineering.
3. Demonstrable supervisory or people management experience.
