Psychology Graduate aspiring to be a SEN Teaching Assistant, leading to becoming an Education or Clinical Psychologist.
You will work with students aged 3-18 who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Context is vital in these roles, as understanding the background of the students is crucial.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working 1:1 with students with Mild Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language difficulties.
2. Supporting pupils with varying degrees of ability and behaviour.
3. Engaging with all pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues, each of whom will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
This role provides valuable practical experience that can lead to a career as an Occupational Therapist or Educational Psychologist. It also serves as a strong reference for pursuing a Master's or Research Project in Psychology.
