We are working with a family business based in Hull, that are looking for an experienced forklift engineer. The company pride themselves on the fact that there are many people that are still there today who joined as apprentices. They have a specialised tooling and machine workshop, which is heated and modern in design.
The role:
1. Carry out planned maintenance and thorough examinations to pre-determined schedules and document fully - both at the workshop and at customer premises.
2. Diagnose and resolving technical issues / sub-standard equipment through the use of industry expertise, diagnostic software, guidance notes.
3. Complete pre-delivery inspections / calibration and commissioning of new equipment both in the workshop and on customer sites.
4. Providing records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions, and provide regular reports to management, contributing to effective communication and documentation of service activities.
Requirements:
1. Be a time served engineer with strong electrical skills.
2. Have a good knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
3. Have experience and repair of materials handling equipment (especially forklifts) coupled with excellent practical problem solving and fault diagnostic skills.
4. Officially trained to operate forklifts.
5. Certified to carry out LOLER / thorough examinations.
6. Full driving licence essential.
7. Computer literacy required.
