The Manager will enable the team to deliver on targets and continuously improve performance through effective coaching and development. You will support the delivery of the Muller excellence strategy in areas of Health & Safety, Plant Effectiveness, Quality, Costs, and Environment while being part of and supporting the delivery of Blowmoulding's strategic vision.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring all work standards are met, aligned with company policies and procedures.
2. Effective communication and implementation of company policies, procedures, and practices.
3. Championing high levels of personal safety awareness through the workforce.
4. Striving for improvements in systems and procedures to ensure full compliance in all areas of Health and Safety, Quality, Environment (waste), and Production/supply effectiveness.
5. Ensuring manufacturing and supply performance delivers against set objectives.
6. Supporting appropriate managers with absence and performance management issues, including disciplinary procedures.
7. Setting team/employee objectives and targets for continued improved performance.
8. Mentoring, coaching, and developing team members, delivering development plans aligned with business objectives.
9. Creating a purpose, vision, and clear direction around business objectives.
10. Ensuring full compliance with all business standards (Health and Safety, Quality, and site performance).
11. Ensuring STAR/Accidents are captured with corrective actions closed.
12. Supporting manufacturing and engineering managers to deliver on clear business objectives.
13. Day-to-day responsibility for driving improved site performance and team disciplines.
14. Prioritizing workload and team to drive continued improvement actions.
15. Driving waste and cost impacts to optimize cost controls.
16. Identifying poor performance and managing through performance improvement plans.
17. Prompt recognition and actions regarding fault finding and correction of issues.
18. Regular workstation visits to identify issues.
19. Coaching and mentoring team members to enable them to support problem-solving.
20. Ensuring constructive handover and capture of all issues is completed.
21. Conducting regular Health & Safety, Quality, and Hygiene inspections and sign-off.
22. Demonstrating a high level of problem-solving capability and facilitation skills.
23. Driving continuous improvement ideas through to completion.
24. Identifying, evaluating, and supporting production/supply-related training and development needs.
25. Maintaining regular and consistent communication with the team through 1-2-1's, PDP discussions, and regular cascade briefings.
26. Driving key initiatives through the asset care TPM programs.
27. Driving Muller excellence strategy through effective PMS activities.
28. Proactively managing sickness absence, performance, and disciplinary issues to deliver on KPI's.
Minimum Requirements:
1. IOSH Managing Safely.
2. Leadership qualities.
3. GCSE's C's and above in Maths and English.
