You will provide independent assurance that manufacturing and related processes are applied across all Projects. You will provide support and advice on all aspects of quality within UK Manufacturing. You will support UK Manufacturing in the identification and reduction of project risk or problem areas / issues associated with process application, process effectiveness and compliance. Reporting to the Manufacturing Product Assurance Manager, responsibilities include the following activities: Ensure effective management of non-conformances across manufacturing including the administration of non-conformities and containment activities. Collation and analysis of non-conformance data through the business tool, Google NLP, highlighting any adverse trends and risks to the business and highlighting opportunities for improvement. Facilitating Practical Problem Solving activities, determining Root Causes and the effective implementation of robust Corrective Actions using the relevant Quality Tools. Managing Customer concerns and escapes, dealing with Inter Company facilities and external customers. Managing inscapes between business units within Manufacturing Work with the Programs Quality representative and other functions to define appropriate risk reduction strategies/action plans. Confirm through a programme of Independent assessments and audits that processes and quality requirements are being successfully implemented, applied and improved. Provide reports to Management that identifies the outcome of audits and issues. Monitor and facilitate the progression of any improvements from audit activities and the timely closure of identified issues. Provide an independent review and support to Manufacturing in the transition from development to production in ensuring the Industrial Validation activities are completed to schedule and timely closure of actions. Interface with Customer Representatives (DQAFF), when required, to support the mitigation of quality issues. Approval of FAI's, C of C's and other product related documents where required. What we're looking for from you: Ideally qualified to HND/HNC, or experience in Engineering and Quality Management Practitioner of current QA problem solving methods (8D, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.). Strong Practical Problem Solving skills being able to lead and facilitate activities leading to improvements. Quality Audit experience desired. Extensive knowledge and experience of key external standards, such as EN9100/AS9100. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential and able to influence others in a collaborative way. Good planning and organising skills to ensure multiple tasks are prioritised and monitored to deliver set objectives. Highly self-motivated, and demonstrate a determination and persistence to deliver results despite obstacles and setbacks. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
