EHS Advisor - Drilling Contractor
Our client is a leading drilling contractor, offering a wide range of drilling and geotechnical services, including Sonic Drilling, rotary techniques, in-situ testing, groundwater monitoring well installation, and specialist projects such as environmental investigations and nuclear radiological drilling.
Due to company growth, they are seeking an EHS Advisor to join their team and support the Operations Manager in the development, implementation, and administration of the company's EHS programs. As the EHS Advisor you will be responsible for conducting site audits, developing training programs, and monitoring compliance with environmental laws and safety regulations, with a focus on continuous improvement and integration of management systems across field and office operations.

Responsibilites
Develop and maintain a comprehensive EHS program compliant with local regulations, ISO standards, and client requirements.
Deliver employee training on legislative and company EHS procedures, and conduct safety orientations for new hires.
Lead weekly toolbox talks and on-site safety meetings to promote a strong safety culture.
Conduct site audits, behavioural observations, and environmental inspections to assess training effectiveness and compliance.
Monitor EHS law updates, communicating changes to management and operational teams.
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, 45001, and 9001 certifications through regular audits and corrective action implementation.
Prepare risk assessments and safety documentation for projects and client submissions.
Track and report on EHS performance metrics, including incidents and audits.
Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure consistent EHS practices.Key Success Factors:

Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and regulatory authorities.

Requirements
Previous experience in EHS management, preferably within a multi-site industrial or heavy plant environment.
Working towards or holding a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
A valid driving license is required.
Willingness to travel as needed to support multi-site operations.
