Looking to work on NPI & innovative software projects from cradle to grave in a true Agile environment? We’re looking for an experienced Digital Project Manager to join a new PMO function as they continue to grow.
About the company:
They provide an end-to-end solution in one product which includes software, UX/UI, Mobile App, Cloud, Firmware, and Electronics. The Project Manager’s focus is on the software/app/cloud part, but bonus points if you have experience in all areas.
They have a ‘Tech in Wales first policy’, ensuring all development is based in South Wales; this includes R&D, software development, and electronics engineering.
They build an end-to-end solution for a consumer electronics product, but a background in technical project management of any physical product is welcomed.
About the role:
Working alongside the Product Director, you will be responsible for the delivery of the full ‘Go to Market’ plan and some more strategic projects too.
This is a collaborative role where you will support the firmware, software, cloud, mobile app, and the UX team; ensuring the teams are motivated and kept in the loop at all times.
This requirement is more on the senior side; you’ll need to hit the road running and be comfortable working autonomously.
The team is working in a true Agile environment, so the Technical Project Manager will be well-versed with an Agile way of working. Someone from a Waterfall background wouldn’t be quite right.
About you:
Agile experience is essential. You must have worked with Jira, run Agile sprints/processes, and have a background of running customer experience through Agile. The ability to articulate Agile processes is imperative.
A background in working with overseas teams is a huge bonus.
As this is a Technical Project Manager role, you will have an understanding of the SDLC and a background in working with software teams, UX/UI teams, and ideally mobile app and cloud teams. If you’ve worked with firmware, embedded, and electronics teams, that’s a big plus.
Communication is at the forefront of the Project Manager’s day-to-day, so you will be well-versed in stakeholder management as well as planning and project estimation techniques.
Ideally, you’ll be based in the South Wales area; the office is based in Caerphilly, and this role requires regular face time in the office.
