We are a friendly family-run recruitment consultants based in Chorley Town Centre, Lancashire. We have been established for 28 years and recruit solely within the building products industry. We recruit for Manufacturers and Merchants within building products for permanent Sales to Director level vacancies.
You do not need to have any experience within recruitment or building products industry as this will be taught.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an additional Recruitment Resourcer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth journey and put your own stamp on the role! We are not your typical recruitment agency in that we work towards a team target not an individual target. You will be very well supported by our highly experienced senior recruitment team who have been with the business for a combination of 44 years!
This is a fast-paced role which will involve:
1. Outbound calling candidates to discuss potential job vacancies.
2. Improving the database by filling in more information on candidates and clients.
3. Adding new CVs to the database.
4. Phone prospective new candidates (This will be a priority and will be a daily task).
5. Speaking to candidates throughout the UK running new vacancies passed them.
6. Headhunting using a variety of techniques to find candidates for all vacancies.
7. Discussing candidates and doing candidate introductions via MS Teams, Zoom, or face to face.
8. Attending industry exhibitions as and when required, which may involve starting early or finishing later than your standard working hours, or very rarely an overnight stay. Out of pocket expenses will be provided by Sharples Davies regarding travel, and meals if involved with an overnight stay.
9. Any other duties which may be required in the capacity of your role, including general housekeeping.
10. Answering the phone after work hours when calls are diverted to the mobiles from the office.

1. People Skills: This is essential as this role involves a high amount of outbound calling. Must be confident to talk to new people and build rapport to understand their career aspirations.
2. Customer Service: This is the heart of what we do; we have a strong reputation built up over 26 years and treat all candidates with respect.
3. Fast Learner: This is a fast-paced and demanding role; therefore, must have the ability to pick up on things taught and apply them quickly.
4. Self-motivated: Due to the business being fast-paced, it is essential you can manage your own time efficiently without the need for assistance.
5. Work Ethic: A strong work ethic is common among our team.
6. Communication Skills: Can communicate with candidates & clients and internally with the consultants.
7. Organisation & Planning Skills: Important to see the value to the business, see the bigger picture, and prioritise workload effectively.
8. Computer Skills: Word, Excel, and Outlook are the Microsoft programs used. Our CRM HRS will be taught.

Remuneration:
1. Base Salary £24,000 - £30,000 (Negotiable dependent on experience)
2. Incentive scheme will be put in place with the ability to earn monthly commission

Hours of work are Monday – Thursday 09:00am – 5:00pm, Fridays 09:00am – 4:00pm (No weekends).
