Engineering Team Manager
Based - Carlton, Barnsley, S71 3HF - The home of Mr Kipling
Salary circa £60,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday - Friday
A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for an experienced Engineering Team Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will be a leader of a multidisciplinary team to deliver allaspects of output tostandard metrics in an engaging and collaborative way, to create capability and overall delivery.
The successful candidate will:
Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed. Supporting a behavioural safety culture highlighting positive and negative behaviour, ensuring teams works in a safe, hygienic manner following company guidelines, escalating accidents and incidents in the appropriate way.
Takea clear leadership role during breakdowns. Ensuring appropriate handover processes are in place to assure the consistent ongoing running of the shift. Auditing of work to ensure that teams work is of the highest standards.
Work with Operational Team and CentreManagers toproactively develop and drive maintenance of lines, improve quality, safety, and asset utilisation working to agreed metrics and SLA's.
Actively work to optimise the automation performance, Support service tracking and analysis of error rates and assist in the production of corrective action plans.
Set team goals together with the team, communicating long and short-term goals, ensuring everyone understands their role and the part they play in the team, giving business updates and briefings as appropriate.
To effectively manage all personnel matters in a timely manner - including absence management: welcome back conversations, management of restrictions and LTS cases, dealing with instances of misconduct and grievances, and working with the HR team to identify and develop talent.
What we need from you:
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering
A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings
Able to collaborate and influence, peers and senior management to drive progress and achieve desired results
Previous experience in a management position
Ability to manage people performance, coaching and development of a team
FMCG or food management experience
