As a Tech Risk & Controls Director in the Infrastructure Platform Group you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the firm's technology risk management strategy. Leveraging your advanced knowledge and expertise in technology-risk disciplines, you will identify, oversee, and mitigate compliance and operational risks in line with the firm's standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Product Owners, Business Control Managers, and regulators, to develop and maintain a comprehensive view of the technology risk posture and its impact on the business. Your ability to make calculated decisions, manage large teams, and drive strategic projects will be crucial in ensuring the firm's adherence to regulatory obligations and industry best practices. Infrastructure Platforms (IP) International Services is a horizonal service organization. We leverage the scale and expertise of the product organization to deliver IP global products at a local level, linking requirements and understanding regulations to ensure IP products are delivered to meet customer needs. We align with the international CIO organization within each region and with direct linkage to global IP Platforms & Services. You will report to the Head of IP International Services, covering EMEA, APAC, LATAM & Canada, and have ooperational responsibility of Tech Risk & Controls (TRC) across IP International e.g. Ownership and execution of country specific run books.Tech Risk & Controls professionals play a critical role in the Identification, assessment, oversight, monitoring, and reporting of compliance and operational risk in line with the firm's standards, proactively ensuring IP International is ‘always audit ready and ensuring adherence to the control objectives defined in the IP International Risk Assessment Structure hierarchy. Job responsibilities Develop and implement technology risk management strategies, policies, and processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and drive strategic projects and initiatives to enhance the firm's technology risk management capabilities, in line with industry best practices and the firm's standards and regulatory requirements Identify and escalate emerging and upstream technology risk through execution of the Firm’s management framework tools, including risk event management, reporting, and action plan tracking, and provide expert counsel to stakeholders and constituents regarding their security obligations, facilitating acceptable outcomes Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including key cross-functional team leads, regulators, and auditors, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards Manage reporting and governance of overall controls, policies, issue management, and measurements, etc., providing insight to senior leaders into effectiveness of controls and inform governance work Help with oversight over how IP International Services organization adopts technology to support, enable and enhance its business objectives while complying with the Firm’s global policies and it’s regulatory compliance requirements Understand complex regulatory and internal security requirements and be able to advise on implementation options. Ensuring full integration with Cybersecurity Technology and Controls (regional leads) and Global Product Org to ensure IP international are compliant with external regulation Help with identification of technology risk impacting the business that is quantified, communicated, and managed, including recommendations for resolution, and identifying the root cause/key themes Maintain relationships with stakeholders to facilitate oversight and effectiveness of the technical control environment Partner with Third Party Oversight teams to ensure effective vendor risk management Maintain an understanding of product/platforms teams strategies, product roadmaps and key investment programs Assess technology risks and businesses and products evolve to effectively identify and suggest remediation plans Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Advanced expertise in technology risk management, information security, or a related field, with a focus on managing risk identification, assessment, and mitigation Demonstrated expertise in risk management frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to the financial industry Proven ability to lead large teams, manage cross-functional projects, influence executive-level strategic decision-making, and effectively translate technology insights to business strategy in communications with senior executives Advanced knowledge and experience leading data security, risk assessment & reporting, and control evaluation, design, and governance, with a track record of implementing effective risk mitigation strategies Strong experience in various Technology and Cyber domains, for e.g., Architecture, Vulnerability Management, Cloud, etc. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, knowing how to challenge the status quo especially in large organisation. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Risk management knowledge in public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) services Certified in CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CCSP or similar
