This is a pivotal role based in our Grain Department to assist in the administration process which governs the movements of agricultural commodities. Combinable crop purchases and sales are moved in lorry-loads across the UK either for export into European markets, or if destined for domestic use, to flour mills or food producers within the UK. As well as being involved in the administration processes and accurate data capture for all commodities, you will be working as a central liaison point between the Grain department and own company haulier, Churchill Freight Services Ltd, third-party hauliers, and our customers and suppliers. Accurate administration to manage grain contracts and arising movement changes, methodical data focused working and good communication are all key skills for this position. This is a fast-paced environment where swift amendments and actions enable smooth and profitable operations. About You: Ideally, Degree/diploma educated, or equivalent working experience may be considered gained with relevant subjects/working environment including Business Management, Administration, Food and Supply Chain, Agriculture Logistics. Requires reasoned thinking style, accuracy with data, numerical competence in what can be a fast-paced department with seasonal peaks. Confident communicator and able to work with all parties across the business. Proficient with MS Excel, Microsoft packages, working experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 would also be advantageous. Previous relatable experience gained from working within the agricultural industry, or a background in logistics and haulage would be an advantage.
