Hanwha Ocean Europe (HOE) acts as the integrator for all Hanwha’s services to customers in the commercial shipping industry, providing a one-stop shop to customers and offering a cradle to (near) grave service for ship assets.
[Responsibilities]
As a techno-commercial solution focused strategic customer account manager in Europe, you will use your extensive shipping experience to:
1) Engage and develop strong relationships with your key clients and relevant industry stakeholders:
* Develop and maintain a full understanding of the customer, their business and strategies, and relationships with key people and decision makers
* Use your knowledge and experience to identify and anticipate customer needs early in the sales cycle, share industry knowledge, and ensure you can act as a trusted advisor
* Identify and develop potential projects and technical JDPs etc with European customers/stakeholders which deliver value for Hanwha
2) Techno-commercial Business Development & Negotiation:
* Bring your experience in technical solution development and sales to focus on value proposition rather than just product features to our customers
* You will be able to analyze customer requirements and recommend customized technical solutions
* Use your contract negotiation and pricing experience to negotiate contracts, agreements and partnerships
* Leverage your existing shipping industry network to grow relationships with key stakeholders such as regulators, shipowners, technical managers, and OEMs to bring insight and create value for Hanwha and its customers
3) Communicate and present on behalf of Hanwha:
* Leverage your excellent presentation and communication skills to represent the company externally, conveying complex technical concepts to technical, commercial, and other stakeholders
* Prepare and deliver compelling technical proposals, whitepapers, and product demonstrations, as well as contributing to thought leadership in the industry
[Qualifications]
* Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in a relevant technical field such as marine engineering, naval architecture etc or equivalent relevant industry experience
* Proven experience in technical sales, business development, within the maritime or energy sectors
* Strong network and ability to develop and enhance senior-level relationships in the shipping industry
* Understanding of shipping industry, regulation, commercial and technical drivers and ability to translate into clear commercial advice
* Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
* Business level proficiency in English required. Other languages an advantage
