The Role
In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive the Sports Centre Business Plan, including financial forecasts, sales and marketing strategies, and overall delivery, in collaboration with the Director of Commercial Enterprise and working closely with the School’s Director of Sport to ensure priority pupil requirements are met, and ensuring robust regular reporting is provided to the Oundle School Enterprises Ltd Board.
You will also support and uphold all school policies, with a particular focus on Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and People Management. As the Sports Centre Manager, you will leverage your experience in managing safeguarding procedures and relevant regulations to act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the Sports Centre campus year-round, reporting to and collaborating with the School DSL. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Normal Operating Procedures (NOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) are regularly reviewed and effectively implemented.
Central to this delivery is the effective leadership of the Sports Centre team and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders. Proven management capability is essential to be successful in this role, which is responsible for ensuring that sufficiently trained staff are on duty to deliver required service standards and for promoting positive staff relations and consistent management in line with the School values and policies. Collaborating with the Director of Enterprise and HR Department, you will ensure a robust resourcing plan to meet the needs of the School and Sports Centre, and lead the motivation, professional support, and development of staff.
