As part of Burnbraes restructure, we are looking to recruit to fulfill our goals for the service. Burnbrae is a 28-bedded residential care home supporting older adults who have a range of differing needs such as a mental health diagnosis, Dementia, and/or frailty.
Our service is part of the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership where we work closely with other professionals within a multidisciplinary team. Burnbrae is a well-established care home with a highly experienced, motivated, and passionate team of staff. We endeavor to work together to ensure we provide a warm and welcoming environment focused on person-centred care for all who live within Burnbrae alongside a supportive place of work for our colleagues.
We are located near the centre of Falkirk within beautiful surroundings and with multiple accessible public transport options nearby.
Within our service, there are multiple learning opportunities for staff. We place importance on training, development, and opportunities to progress within a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide care and support to older adults, particularly those with mental health diagnoses.
2. Conduct assessments, support planning, risk assessments, and case recording.
3. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
4. Participate in ongoing training and development.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Knowledge and experience of care, preferably with older adults.
2. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively.
4. Registration with the SSSC as a Practitioner in Care Home Services for older adults.
5. Maintain PVG scheme membership.
You will work 37 hours per week, which will include backshifts and weekends on a three-weekly shift rota basis. This post is temporary until June 2025 due to service requirements.
