COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER Location: Blended home (60%) and office-based working (40%), based at Head Office, Pinewood House, 46 Newforge Lane, Belfast, BT9 5NW. Hours : 37.5 hours per week Starting Salary : £30,684 Duration: Permanent Closing date: 12 noon, Wednesday 11th September 2024 All our roles make a positive impact on the lives of others, the purpose of this role is to: To support our strategic aim of becoming Bolder and Braver in how we communicate with the public and influence policy and decision makers we are seeking to recruit a passionate and motivated Communications Officer who cares about mental health and making a difference and who will help project our key messages across a range of internal and external platforms. Reporting to the Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our exciting new Public Affairs Strategy 2024-2027 (which includes our Policy, Public Affairs, Communications and Membership Strategies). You will oversee MindWise’s internal and external presence across all platforms, including our website, social media, media and more, ensuring brand consistency and effective project management and story-telling techniques are used for maximum impact. What we ask for from you: 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above, including English (or equivalent) A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience within the last 5 years working in a Communications/Public Affairs/Marketing role. Experience and knowledge of project management including managing third party suppliers. Experience of media management and a proven track record of building relationships with a range of stakeholders. Experience of digital marketing including developing, maintaining and growing social media channels, website and email marketing. Proven experience of planning and executing integrated campaigns over a variety of platforms to a diverse range of audiences. Knowledge of SEO analytics Ability to demonstrate alignment with MindWise’s core values of Passion, Respect, Empathy, Togetherness, Openness & Transparency. Hold a current driving licence and access to a car (or have access to public transport) is essential as this role may require the staff member to travel regionally.
