Position : Director of Golf
Location : North West
Salary : £70,000 OTE (Year 1), with higher potential earnings in subsequent years
Our client, a prestigious Golf Club Operator in the North West, is seeking a dynamic and driven Director of Golf. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned golf professional to lead and grow the golf operations and revenue, whilst ensuring the highest standards of service and satisfaction for the members and guests.
The site is currently going through a major reinvestment project on the golf course and club house as well as future plans to make the site accesible to everyone!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive Sales : Enhance overall sales through strategic planning and innovative marketing.
2. Membership Growth : Increase club memberships by developing attractive packages and engaging with the local community.
3. Green Fees & Buggy Uptake : Optimize green fee pricing and promote buggy rentals to maximize revenue.
4. Societies & Corporate Engagement : Build and maintain relationships with societies and corporate clients to secure bookings and events.
5. Social Events : Organize and oversee social events to enrich the member experience and attract new patrons.
6. Shop Sales : Manage the golf shop, ensuring a wide range of products and exceptional customer service.
7. Hands-On Role : Be customer-facing, answering phones, and handling opening and/or closing duties for the shop.
8. Staff Management : Oversee staff management, including rotas, recruitment, training, mentoring, and discipline.
Requirements:
9. Proven experience in a leadership role within the golf industry.
10. Strong track record of driving sales and growing memberships.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve targets.
13. Innovative thinker with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
14. Willingness to work during peak periods, weekends, and unsociable hours.
15. Experience in staff management and development.
