Job Description – Production/Machine Operative
Reports to: Production/Machine Supervisor – Team Leader.
Job Overview: You will be required to run machines in the production department and adhere to all procedures set out for you. You will be required to hit KPIs and keep waste to a minimum. Keep a clean and tidy working environment and promote a positive vibe in the workplace whilst keeping to all health and safety and QMS requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Always wear your uniform provided.
2. Work as part of the production team or on your own when required, meeting quality standards in regular checks and hitting KPIs.
3. Responsible for keeping your work area clean and tidy in accordance with the company H&S policy.
4. Ensure all products that are produced are kept to a high standard.
5. Palletise product from machine runs suitable for transport and storage.
6. Use machine to maximise productivity whilst keeping the quality up to standard in accordance with your training.
7. Inform your supervisor/team leader of illness before your shift starts.
8. Report any machine faults to your Team Leader.
9. Hit daily KPIs/deadlines set out by your supervisor/team leader.
10. Be aware of chemicals in the area and use PPE provided.
11. Overtime is not compulsory, but you may be asked to work outside of your contracted hours to reach deadlines and targets.
12. Observe health & safety requirements as per the company’s Health & Safety Policy.
13. Observe quality management requirements as per the company’s Quality Management Policy.
14. Carry out any other tasks asked of you by management.
Qualifications / Experience:
* Previous production and warehouse experience (desirable)
