Role Description Allianz have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team working on a hybrid basis out of our Ditton Park office. You will be part of the Allianz Specialty Team, looking after the Pet and Musical insurance products. As one of our Senior Business Analysts, you’ll play a lead role in organisational change by using specialised business analysis, change management skills and disciplined business analysis approaches. This is achieved through repeated deliveries and/or specialist area of knowledge. You will work across many functional domains, with stakeholders at many levels up to board level. Key Accountabilities Works with a series of stakeholders up to Exec and Board level in defining business visions and developing the strategies to meet these via strategic analyses, feasibility studies and business cases. Is able to initiate medium to large pieces of change. Able to undertake business analysis in a multi-faceted change environment, involving information, technology, people, process and organisation change. Able to work in any functional domain, rapidly gaining an understanding of the business area, stakeholders and business needs. Defining and implementing the business analysis approach to be applied, for the analysis activities required on the programme, project or initiative. Ensuring that all activities align with change governance and quality standards. Applies and develops analysis ways of working to any piece of change, driving continuous improvement. Supports the development, systems testing, user acceptance testing and implementation of solutions by working closely with solution partners, suppliers, and business stakeholders. Mentors and coaches others in the business analysis profession. Learns from previous experience and understands how benefits have been delivered by participating in post-implementation reviews, lessons learned sessions and knowledge share/peer reviews. Makes a significant contribution to the continuous learning of the profession of the role. Technical Skills Expertise in defining and leading business analysis approaches within Waterfall and Agile methodologies from change and systems development perspectives. Expertise in the application of recognised industry standard modelling techniques, including data modelling and BPMN. Experience and knowledge of change lifecycle concepts used to plan, develop, implement, operate and maintain change. Essential Skills Understanding of key drivers for change. Experience or demonstrable knowledge of the insurance industry including products, services and differing business models. High degree of organisation, task planning and time management. Extensive experience of different project methods (often within the same initiative) and how these impact the work a business analyst carries out. Experience of working in a business analysis role on a number of high complexity change initiatives, where multi-faceted change is being carried out across information, technology, people, organisation and process. Has an extensive appreciation of the wider field of IT systems (architecture, hardware and software), their use in relevant business processes and how they are implemented to meet business objectives. Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – and understanding of tools used to support change management and software development. Extensive experience of planning and facilitating workshops of large size and complexity. Desirable Skills Leadership, mentoring and coaching others within the profession. Experience influencing and managing stakeholders up to board level.
