As a Lead Software Sustainment Engineer, you'll lead in the development of new software features for a critical Security product and continued updates to operating systems and third-party packages. This'll be achieved by working closely with the services team to address problems and interacting with the customers' technical teams to understand new requirements.

Your activities will also include providing technical training internally, technical consultancy to customers, and porting products to new hardware platforms when required. All completed with the purpose of advancing the customer mission and ensuring the safety and prosperity of the U.K.
The Key Requirements...
The key technical skills you'll need exposure to are:
1. Linux (ideally Red Hat, Centos or Rocky)
2. Software development including such as C++, Python or Javascript
3. Network protocols
4. Socket programming
5. Web based technologies such as React and Django
6. SQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL
7. Testing and diagnostics using a range of tools such as Robot Framework, Jenkins or Gitlab

You'll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast.
