Construction Manager at KONE
Location: Southern England (Excluding London)
About Us: KONE is a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, dedicated to enhancing urban mobility. We are looking for a skilled Construction Manager to oversee smaller modification projects, ranging from £10k to £150k, across the southern region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timelines.
2. Client Interaction: Build and maintain relationships with end clients and contractors, ensuring clear communication and expectations.
3. Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with CDM regulations and company policies, acting as the principal contractor when necessary.
4. Repair Knowledge: Utilize your expertise in lift repairs to oversee modifications and address any technical challenges.
5. Travel and Flexibility: Manage travel across the southern region, utilizing a company car and petrol card. Overnight stays may be required for business purposes.
Qualifications:
6. Experience in construction management, preferably within the lift industry.
7. Background as a repair engineer looking to advance your career.
8. Proven ability to manage projects within a large company (top 5 preferred) with established processes.
9. Strong understanding of existing building projects and the associated challenges.
