Dementia Service Administration Assistant

Our Dementia Services provides a day centre group for individuals living with mild to moderate dementia. Our clients, who live either independently or with family members, enjoy a social setting where they can engage in activities such as music, singing, arts and crafts, and quizzes.
This is a role that requires a special type of person; you will have excellent administration and customer service skills and experience. The role is varied and will have some client-facing duties, therefore experience in dementia care and good communication is key to the role.
Qualifications and skills:
* Experience in a similar role within dementia services or social care
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to capture data accurately and populate spreadsheets
* Experience in maintaining records for billing and finance
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
The role
* The role involves supporting the Dementia Services Manager and the Administration Officer in the daily operations of the service, ensuring the data, billing, and records are accurately recorded.
* Responsibilities include covering as a Dementia Services Assistant as required, ensuring a social day centre approach that promotes independence and inclusivity for clients.
* The role also involves supporting with the dementia services rota and calendar, supporting staff meetings, administrative tasks, maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding practices, and building effective relationships with partners, team members, clients, and carers.
