Production Engineer – Mechanical

Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition from design to production
* Provide essential manufacturing documentation and information to meet quality standards
* Identify and implement best-practice manufacturing methods for production efficiency
* Work with suppliers and purchasing teams to coordinate outsourced activities, including supplier audits and performance reviews
* Regularly review and optimize manufacturing processes as part of the company's continuous improvement strategy
* Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation within the document control system
* Ensure manufacturing database information is up to date and properly maintained
Required Knowledge & Experience:
* Experience in assembling and testing mechanical products and assemblies
* Proficiency in creating and updating assembly and test procedures, along with relevant records
* Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings and bills of materials
* Understanding of process hold points, operational control activities, and factory acceptance tests (FATs)
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
* Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Vault (or similar CAD software)
* Knowledge of MS Visio and Adobe FrameMaker is beneficial
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
