Position: Contracts Manager
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Location: Stafford with hybrid (3 days in office/2 WFH)
Contract: Permanent
Bonuses: Pension, 25 days Holiday Allowance plus BH, Van/Fuel card
Think Recruitment is currently looking for a Contracts Manager based locally to Stafford to support the Head of Services in delivering planned major works projects, ensuring compliance with contracts and health and safety standards.
Duties will include:
* Taking the lead on projects.
* Independently managing contractors.
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in developing, designing, procuring, and administering projects from start to completion.
* Providing expert insights on residential building, group properties, and recommending effective ways to project assets.
* Leading and coordinating complex repairs by diagnosing building defects and implementing effective solutions to disrepair, void, insurance claims, and damp or mold concerns.
Experience/Skills required:
* Professionally qualified or Building Surveyor in a construction-related discipline, with 3 years PQE (Essential).
* MRICS/MCIOB preferred with evidence of CPD (Essential).
* Experience in building surveying and complex defect diagnosis within domestic buildings.
* Knowledge of environmental and property legislation, focusing on housing is essential.
* Ability to write technical specifications, reports, and instructions for staff and contractors.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
* Ability to lead, inspire, motivate, and develop staff, building teams to deliver to the vision and values.
* Understanding of relevant statutory regulations relating to housing providers.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations.
Hours:
* 40 hours per week.
* Call out rota 1 in 4.
