NRL is looking for a Commissioning Startup Coordinator based on site to work on a large-scale ground-up Engineering-Procurement-Construction project that requires exceptional talent. The product portfolio is expanding with never-built-before production lines, and requirements demand cell production volume at a scale which was once thought to be impossible to reach. Essential Job Functions:
1. Review work method statement and Inspection test plan for areas turned over to the client.
2. Review project documentation to determine how the system should perform.
3. Oversee commissioning activities to fit into the project schedule.
4. Meet with project stakeholders to discuss commissioning activities, report on progress, and request adequate commissioning time.
5. Review and follow the Sequences of operations development and documentation.
6. Liaise with design, production, service, and Installation departments.
7. Testing and completion of handover documentation and formalities on project completion.
8. Handover and performance testing of completed machines.
9. Verification of machine reliability and performance.
10. Coordinates with and directs contractor personnel.
11. Interprets plans and specifications.
12. Plans and tracks work to schedule.
13. Inspects all work in progress to ensure quality.
14. Communicates any deviations and accounts for them properly.
15. Ensures all activities are done safely.
16. Documents daily activity and submits management reports.
17. Produces and follows up work lists and punch lists.
18. Participating in Factory Witness Testing.
Skills Requirements:
1. Qualifications in the field of Mechanical Engineering or appropriate industry experience and knowledge.
2. 7+ Years’ experience in a similar role.
3. Overall maintenance on a variety of production and facilities equipment applying good engineering practices.
4. Equipment startup experience (witnessing contractor activation and testing of equipment).
5. Good understanding of control circuits and able to read an electrical drawing.
6. Experience within fast-paced manufacturing is a must.
7. An understanding of safety circuits.
8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
9. Planning and organizational skills.
10. Communication skills; listens and gets clarification.
11. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
12. Good communication skills in English.
13. Treats people with respect; works with integrity and ethics.
14. Follows through on commitments; willing to do what it takes to meet company objectives.
15. Good IT computer skills (Presentations PPT, reporting, Excel, Power BI desired).
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, climb, and walk on structures more than 100 feet above the ground.
