Teacher of Mathematics

Boston Spa Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Teacher of mathematics. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students across Key Stage 3, 4, and potentially 5, to achieve their full potential. This opportunity is open to both ECTs and Experienced Teachers.
The ideal applicant will have:
Either:
* A successful placement(s), teaching at KS3 & KS4 (applicants currently in training)
or:
* A successful record of teaching with very good exam results at one or more of KS3 & KS4 (applicants who already have gained QTS
* A detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the use of the Pupil Premium
* The ability to put vision into practice.

About us:
The mathematics department at Boston Spa Academy has an excellent track record of academic success. In the past two academic years, Progress 8 measures for the subject at GCSE were +0.97 and +1.07, placing the department as one of the highest performing in the country. This is further supplemented by our thriving A Level provision, in which Mathematics and Further Mathematics have large numbers of students who achieve exceptionally well. The team consists of 12 teachers, with a Director of Maths, Deputy Director of Maths, and three Assistant Leaders of Maths. With an increased number of students opting to study A Level Maths and Further Maths, we are seeking a candidate who has a passion for mathematics and an ability to teach the subject at KS4 and KS5, as well as teaching across KS3.
