Active Moulds Ltd are looking for an Apprentice Fabricator Welder to complete a Level 3 Metal Fabricator apprenticeship. This role will entail learning how to work to engineering drawings to fabricate using skills and techniques to achieve the desired outcome. Our experienced staff will oversee the role and provide guidance. Welding will also be a key part of this role and this skill will be developed alongside the fabricating role.
Role & Responsibilities
* Learning how to work to engineering drawings to fabricate using skills and techniques to achieve the desired outcome
* Reading and understanding engineering drawings/customer requirements
* Working closely with experienced staff members to oversee the role and provide guidance
* MIG welding will also be a key part of this role and this skill will be developed alongside the fabricating role

Active Moulds manufacture moulds for the block paving and masonry industry. The work team of Active Moulds produces a large range of moulds using the latest computer design programs. Services include:
* New Product Development
* Recycling Any Existing Mould
Things to Consider
During the first year, you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training, you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Advanced Apprenticeships Entry Requirements
You will need both of the following:
* GCSE English language C or 4 or above
* GCSE Maths C or 4 or above
Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
