We have an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Branch Manager to join and lead our brand new Timber Engineering depot in Sudbury ready for 2025 If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. You'll be working in our newly formed Timber Engineering manufacturing facility in Sudbury, manufacturing roof trusses, posi joist, spandrel and gable panels. Your role as Assistant Branch Manager is to support the team to achieve outstanding performance in the branch, including driving customer sales and developing brilliant people to be the best they can be, whilst promoting a positive and safe working environment. Working in one of our branches you’ll be part of a team where everyone is putting the effort in to offer brilliant customer service and to get the job done. Here’s a quick overview of some of the things you can expect to do as a Assistant Branch Manager with Huws Gray: Managing branch environmental compliance including chain of custody. Support, motivate and help your team to continuously maintain the highest standards. Build relationships with key suppliers. Build customer relationships. Build the sales and margin capacity of the branch. Follow up on sales leads and enquiries. Liaise with customers through out the project from enquiry to delivery. Delivering excellent customer service Being the main point of contact in the absence of the Branch Manager We know that you are more than just a CV and embracing everyone’s individuality is what makes us great as a team. We can give you plenty of training and equip you with the tools that you’ll need to succeed as an Assistant Branch Manager, but previous experience in a Timber Engineering plant would be preferable for this position. We're also looking for the following skills Strong relationship building skills, with experience of dealing with a wide range of customers General construction knowledge essential & knowledge of the construction sector Effective communication skills Customer focused with good commercial skills. Good IT skills & PC literate and experience with Microsoft Outlook and other management software.
