* Salary: Academy Support Scale 5, Point, £31,415 – £33,627 per annum (Prorated £28,179 – £30,163)
* Required: November 2024, As Soon As Possible, Subject to Notice Period
* Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only (39 Weeks) plus 1 (Total 40 Weeks Per Year)
* Working Hours: Full-Time, 36 hours per week (Part Time in Non-Assessment Periods Available)
* Location: SE3 0XX, Blackheath, London Borough of Lewisham
* Reporting to: All staff work under the direction of the Headteacher. Teachers will also be directed and guided by other colleagues with specific, delegated areas of responsibility.

St Matthew Academy seek to appoint an Examination s Officer to join a fabulous Academy, who will be responsible for both external and internal assessments and providing a high level of support to staff and pupils whilst ensuring that all regulations are met with examination bodies.
In October 2019, Ofsted confirmed SMA as a good school where all pupils, through their hard work and commitment, are able to ‘let their light shine’. In Feb 2023, our CSI inspection stated ‘The behaviour of pupils is exemplary in lessons and around the school, and strong and positive relationships are evident throughout the school.’ We are proud that our pupils are able to learn in a disruption free environment resulting in strong progress for all. The successful candidate will be:
· Have experience of education assessments.
· Be reliable and able to use time management skills effectively.
· Have experience of using school administrative systems including BROMCOM.
· Be fully competent in the use of IT packages which must include Microsoft Office.
· Have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly motivated and have the ability to work well under pressure.
· Be an excellent communicator in both verbal and written communication.
· Be friendly and approachable with a welcoming and professional manner.
· Be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively and contribute positively within a team environment.
· Be genuinely committed and passionate to ensuring high expectations for pupils, staff and themselves in sympathy with our Catholic ethos.
