BDUK is an Executive Agency of DSIT responsible for delivering the government’s ambition to deliver improved digital infrastructure across fixed and mobile broadband to the hardest-to-reach areas of the UK.
The Digital, Data & Technology Team (DDaT) works closely with BDUK and wider DSIT teams to design, build, enhance and support a portfolio of digital products and services to deliver BDUK’s strategic objectives through proactive and expert utilisation of data and technology enablers.
The Digital Delivery Manager will support agile delivery across BDUK’s digital and data products through building and maintaining high-performing teams that are motivated, collaborative, and effective. They will proactively identify obstacles and work to remove them, enabling teams to remain focused on delivering essential products and services. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement, the Digital Delivery Manager will encourage teams to refine their processes and outcomes. Additionally, they will coach and mentor team members, as well as other stakeholders, in applying the most suitable Agile and Lean tools and techniques to optimise delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

* Leadership and Team Building : Build, lead, and maintain agile delivery teams, ensuring members are motivated, collaborative, and working effectively towards shared goals. Facilitate team dynamics and create a culture that fosters open communication and collective problem-solving.
* Delivery Focus : Ensure the delivery team remains aligned to organisational priorities, focusing on outcomes that maximise the value and impact of BDUK’s digital and data products. Direct teams to concentrate on key objectives, adapting the approach when necessary to meet changing requirements.
* Impediment Removal : Proactively identify and address obstacles that could impede progress, leveraging both internal and external resources to maintain the flow of work and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
* Continuous Improvement : Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development within the team. Facilitate retrospectives and other feedback loops to help the team reflect, adapt, and improve their processes and practices.
* Coaching and Mentorship : Act as a mentor and coach for team members and stakeholders, sharing best practices and guiding them in the use of appropriate Agile and Lean methodologies to enhance delivery performance.
* Stakeholder Management : Engage with key stakeholders across BDUK to manage expectations, communicate progress, and align delivery with organisational goals. Ensure transparency and manage dependencies with other teams and functions.
